Fair Play Policy
Last updated · July 24, 2026
Our standard
PVPChess is a skill-based platform. Every player is expected to compete without engines, outside assistance, account sharing, or collusion. Staked games must be decided by your own play.
Automated review
Every finished staked game is analyzed against engine lines and other signals. Winnings are held until automated fair-play checks complete.
Suspicious games may receive extended review before payout is released.
Violations & penalties
Confirmed cheating can result in forfeiture, loss of stake, strike penalties, temporary matchmaking bans, and permanent account restrictions.
Three strikes can lead to a 24-hour matchmaking ban. Severe or repeated abuse may result in longer or permanent loss of access.
Matchmaking integrity
Ranked staked games match players within a 100 ELO window. This keeps games competitive and reduces sandbagging incentives.
Reporting & appeals
Report suspicious opponents through the Report Cheating page or email support@pvpchess.com. Include the game ID and a clear explanation.
If you receive a penalty you believe is incorrect, contact support with FAIR PLAY APPEAL in the subject line.
